ProsPac Holdings has promoted Tony Chen to director, recognizing his leadership and contributions to the Honolulu-based real estate investment firm’s growth in Hawai‘i. As director, Chen will oversee key development initiatives and support ProsPac’s long-term vision of creating thoughtfully planned and designed spaces that strengthen local communities and serve the people who live, work and play in Hawai‘i.
“Tony’s promotion reflects our confidence in his leadership and commitment to ProsPac’s mission,” said Rick Stack, executive vice president of ProsPac Holdings. “He approaches every decision with discipline and a strong sense of responsibility to the communities we serve, qualities that will continue to support the company’s long-term growth in Hawai‘i.”
ProsPac’s newest mixed-use development, Kali‘u, is a boutique luxury condo with fewer than 300 residences and 42,000 square feet of commercial space in Kakaʻako, expanding the neighborhood’s vibrant retail and dining options. The company’s portfolio also includes Azure Ala Moana, a mixed-use residential community completed in 2021 featuring 330 condominium residences, 78 rental apartments and more than 20,000 square feet of retail space. Founded in Hawai‘i by the Chen family, ProsPac develops residential, mixed-use and commercial projects with a focus on livability, community and responsible growth.
“One of ProsPac’s guiding principles is that our success is tied to the well-being of the communities we serve,” said Chen. “I am proud to continue the legacy that started with my father and work with our talented team to develop projects that deliver lasting value for Hawai‘i and the people who call it home.”
Prior to joining ProsPac in 2023, Chen was a senior statistical officer at the Valuation Office Agency of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He holds degrees from Queen’s University, Peking University and the London School of Economics and Political Science. Chen serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii and is an active member of NAIOP Hawai‘i and Statisticians for Society, a pro bono entity that connects professional statisticians with charitable organizations.
