Future residents, elected and appointed officials, and project team members joined ProsPac Holdings Group to celebrate the beginning of construction of Azure Ala Moana, a new transit-oriented development project in Honolulu’s Midtown Ala Moana neighborhood. A traditional Hawaiian blessing of the future site of Azure Ala Moana, followed by the ceremonial turning of the ground with o‘o, marked a momentous occasion for ProsPac Holdings Group.
Mayor Kirk Caldwell and Councilmembers Ann Kobayashi and Kymberly Pine joined ProsPac’s Chairmen XianXin Chen and his son William Chen for the ceremonial groundbreaking. Guests were treated to live performances that celebrated the diversity of cultures in Midtown Ala Moana and enjoyed refreshments featuring local businesses from the neighborhood.
The 330-unit condominium tower is part of a mixed-use project that includes 78 rental apartments and 21,268 square feet of commercial space. A public plaza will provide space for programmed community events, including a farmer’s markets and live entertainment.
Sales of one-, two- and three-bedroom units at Azure Ala Moana began in Fall 2018 with the majority of homes purchased by local residents. Construction is scheduled to be completed in summer of 2021. For more information, please visit AzureAlaMoana.com.
